Vancouver’s first park is a must see for all visitors! This green oasis featuring totem poles, evergreen forest, lagoon and greedy raccoons is within easy reach of downtown Vancouver.
Whether you decide to bike along the 9 km seawall, hike around the mysterious lost lagoon, or tour the numerous viewpoints you’ll not forget this unique West Coast encounter. Visit in the spring for the pink bursts of cherry blossoms which are best viewed from the Japanese Cenotaph. Halloween and Christmas offer the med miniature railway rides and the Second Beach Pool is open from May to Labour Day weekend.
Other attractions include Vancouver aquarium, the Children’s Farmyard, a water park, horse and carriage tours, rugged beaches with more rock and gravel than sand and numerous restaurants. Hours & rates: Open all year long. Free attraction. Directions & map: Located downtown Vancouver near English Bay. Stanley park - Vancouver BC Tips: You can rent bikes and roller blades at the corner of Denman Street and West Georgia. But try to avoid cycling the Seawall on summer weekends as it can resemble the rush hour.
Stanley Park is one of my favorite places by far! So nature, I even saw those raccoons, I don't think you can miss them on your way! So cute!
